I think this person is trying to say that in order for you to be a winner you have to not lose your temper because if you do then you yourself will lose. Lets say you were playing a soccer game and just because the referee gave you a red card you shouldn't be complaining or talking back that would be loosing you temper the right thing to do would to just to accept it without any complaints.
